Wrap Your Life Around Jesus!
Find Strength, Purpose, and Joy with 9 Practical Steps for Deeper Faith
Life can often feel overwhelming, and finding a sense of purpose and direction can be challenging.
As a Christian coach, I’m passionate about helping people find their purpose, joy, and fulfillment by centering their lives around Jesus.
In this post, you’ll explore practical ways to deepen your faith, strengthen your relationship with Christ, and live a life that reflects His love.
Why Center Your Life on Jesus?
• Foundational Stability: Just like a house needs a solid foundation, your life needs the stability that only Jesus can provide. Matthew 7:24-27 talks about the wise man who built his house on the rock, which stood firm against storms. JESUS IS THAT ROCK!
• True Fulfillment: Worldly achievements and possessions often leave us empty. Jesus offers a deeper sense of fulfillment. John 10:10 says, “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.’ This is our key verse in the PAL – Pursuing the Abundant Life.
• Guidance and Wisdom: In a world full of choices and voices, it’s easy to get lost. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us to trust in the Lord with all our heart and not lean on our understanding; in all our ways, acknowledge Him, and He will make our paths straight.
How to Wrap Your Life Around Jesus
1. Daily Devotion and Prayer
Start your day with God. A few moments of prayer and Bible reading can set a positive tone for the rest of the day. It’s your chance to connect, seek guidance, and find peace.
Practical Tips:
• Prayer: Begin with a simple prayer of gratitude.
• Bible Reading: Choose a verse or a passage to meditate on.
• Quiet Time: Spend a few minutes in silence, inviting Jesus into your day.
2. Community and Fellowship
Surround yourself with a community of believers. Hebrews 10:24-25 encourages us not to give up meeting together but to encourage one another. Being part of a church or a small group provides support and growth.
3. Service and Compassion
Serve others selflessly. Volunteering and helping others can deepen your faith and provide a sense of purpose. Look for opportunities to serve those around you, whether it’s volunteering at a local shelter, helping a neighbor, or simply offering a listening ear. As Jesus exemplified a life of service, acts of kindness reflect Christ’s love. Acts 20:35 says, “It is more blessed to give than to receive.”
4. Living Out Your Faith
Integrate your faith into every aspect of your life—your work, relationships, and decisions. Colossians 3:17 tells us to do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.
5. Continuous Learning
Keep growing in your faith. Attend Bible studies, read Christian books, and listen to sermons. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 reminds us that all Scripture is God-breathed and useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness.

• YouVersion Bible app. It’s free and offers tools for daily spiritual growth, including audio Bibles, prayer creation, studying with friends, access to 2,000+ Bible versions, and more.

6. Make Jesus Part of Your Decisions
From small choices to big life-altering decisions, invite Jesus into every aspect of your life. When faced with a decision, ask yourself, “What would Jesus do?” This simple question can bring clarity and align your actions with His teachings.
7. Let Jesus Influence Your Actions
Actions speak louder than words. Strive to reflect Jesus in everything you do. Whether it’s showing kindness to a stranger, offering a helping hand, or simply being there for someone in need, let your actions be a testament to your faith.
8. Keep Jesus in Your Conversations
Talking about Jesus shouldn’t be limited to Sundays. Make Him part of your everyday conversations. Share your experiences, your struggles, and how your faith guides you. This not only strengthens your relationship with Him but also inspires others.
Practical Tips:
• Be Authentic: Share your real-life experiences and how Jesus has impacted you.
• Listen: Sometimes, the best way to talk about Jesus is to listen to others and provide support.
• Encourage: Offer words of encouragement rooted in faith.
9. Forgive Freely
Unforgiveness weighs us down. Release the burden by forgiving others as Christ forgave you. It’s not easy, but it’s liberating. Remember, forgiveness doesn’t excuse wrongdoing; it sets you free from bitterness. Let go, and let God heal your heart.
Wrapping your life around Jesus isn’t just a one-time decision; it’s a daily commitment. It’s about seeking Him first in everything you do. As you do this, you’ll experience a peace and purpose that the world cannot offer. Remember, it’s not about being perfect, but about striving to live a Christ-centered life.
